It's Race Day
Renntag Racing has been a vision of founder Colin Jevens for 20 years. Starting with a simple passion for driving, and the development of man and machine. The importance of "Race Day" has always been paramount with Colin getting his start in drag racing and quickly moving into superbike road racing. Once he found himself in a Porsche on track, "Race Day" had to be translated to German, and Renntag as a motorsport team was born.
Today Renntag Racing works extensively with NASA drivers and promoting the Camaro Mustang Challenge race series. The team is growing with 3 other active members that will be licensed racers in the months to come. The increased interest in the team can be seen in the paddock with friends and family showing support.
2007 was a successful year for the team finishing 3rd in the CMC east championship and garnering more membership. In 2008 the "Team" started to really take shape. Working together, 2 more members have garnered competition licenses as expected. Matt and Jon are already performing at a competitive level and have Colin in their sites. After leading the points in CMC for most of the season, Colin ended up in 3rd again after a crash in the second to last race. Earning Pole position several times and winning a few races, Colin is on course to take the CMC east championship in 2009. With 4 cars in CMC, soon 2 in GTS, and the team gearing up for endurance efforts, watch closely as Renntag Racing makes its mark.
